Anyone Caught Sharing The Russian Man’s Intimate Videos With Ghanaian Girls Can Face A Prison Term Of 1 To 3 years - National Security Authourity's Madugu Avornyotse

Recent reports from February 13, 2026 indicate that Benjamin Madugu Avornyotse, the Acting Director of Communications, International Cooperation, and Strategic Partnerships at Ghana's Cyber Security Authority (CSA), has warned the public against sharing intimate videos involving a Russian man and several Ghanaian women.

Key Legal Warnings

Prison Sentence: Sharing or distributing these videos can lead to a prison term of 1 to 3 years.

Legal Basis: Such actions are classified as crimes under Ghana's Cybersecurity Act, 2020 (Act 1038), specifically regarding the non-consensual sharing of intimate images (often referred to as "revenge porn" or cyberstalking).

Ongoing Investigation: Ghanaian authorities are reportedly investigating the Russian national, identified by some sources as Vyacheslav Trahov, for recording these private encounters online.

Background on the Incident

The controversy emerged around February 12, 2026, when several videos surfaced showing the man approaching women at public locations like the Accra Mall and subsequently recording intimate moments.

While some women were praised online for rejecting his advances, the viral nature of the clips prompted the Cyber Security Authority to issue a formal warning to prevent further victimization and legal repercussions for those sharing the content.
