Actor and Ayawaso West Wuogon MP John Dumelo says veteran actress Grace Nortey, who died in August aged 89, shaped his life from his first day on a film set.
Dumelo worked with Nortey as a child on the 1991 Ghanaian film Baby Thief, he said in a tribute posted on social media.
The production took them to Afienya, Mayra and Koforidua, he recalled.
He said she had been an inspiration to him ever since, and bade farewell to the woman he called Aunty Grace and Grandma.
Dumelo was among hundreds of mourners at her funeral at the forecourt of the State House in Accra on Saturday.
Her career spanned more than five decades across theatre, television, radio and film.
