The National Democratic Congress will have they're constituency elections come Saturday the 24th of October across the country.
In the Amasaman Constituency includes Nathaniel Abekah a familiar voice within the delegates.
Nathaniel Abekah's contribution at the National Democratic Congress goes way back into the party's history, were he joined the then Trobu-Amasaman Constituency in 2008. After becoming a member he played every roll possible to ensure the party succeed in the Amasaman Constituency with a goal to win and retain the seat for the party. In 2017 he was appointed as a member of the party's communication team serving him the opportunity to represent the party during political TV and radio talk shows.
Nathaniel Abekah's inclusion to the Consistency communication team has made the National Democratic Congress to gain more popularity on social media and on other platforms.
The Amasaman Constituency was created in 2012 after being split from the former Trobu-Amasaman Constituency. It has a competitive political history, oscillating between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In 2012 elections, Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea won the newly established seat for the NDC, marking the party's first parliamentary victory in the constituency.
In 2016 Parliamentary elections, Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea retained the seat for the NDC, serving a second consecutive term for the party.
In the lead up to the 2020 general elections Sadem Kweku Afenyo beat Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea in the constituency elections by a huge margin pulling 599 of votes casted leaving 368 to Emmanuel Nii Okai Laryea in 2019. In the 2020 general elections Sedem Kweku Afenyo, lost the seat to the NPP’s Akwasi Owusu Afrifa in a closely contested race, briefly breaking the NDC's grip on the constituency.
However in 2024 Sedem Kweku Afenyocame came back stronger to reclaim the seat for the NDC, securing 53,759 votes (57.63%) against the NPP's Yahya Kassim Atta, who obtained 39,525 votes (42.37%). These were the works of the grassroots and this is why it has become prudent to vote for a voice that carries the winning message and is none other than Nathaniel Abekah.
Nathaniel Abekah is a 39 years old man and hails from the Greater Accra region and married to a beautiful Voltarian woman for the past 14 years with children. His history into Ghana politics began at a young age and was inspired by his aunty Mrs. Rahinatu Allotey of blessed memories who was also a dedicated member of the National Democratic Congress at Abofu, a suburb of Accra.
Due to Abekah's ambition and his approach to business he moved to Adjen Kotoko a town near the borders of the Greater Accra Region. After his settlement he made discoveries of challenges facing the people of the town. This made him to transfer his vote from Abofu to the Amasaman Constituency which led him to become actively involved in affairs of the National Democratic Congress at Amasaman.
After his basic education at the Apenkwa Presbyterian JHS, Nathaniel Abekah enrolled at the Amasaman Senior High School were he was exposed to greater development. It is not by chance that Nathaniel Abekah resided at Amasaman but he's a true son from Kwashikuma and Ademan with his Ga name Nii Guamah Abekah depicting his roots in the constituency. Nathaniel Abekah is on number 5 on the ballot paper, look no further and vote wisely.
