The Ghana Football Association and Black Stars Coach, Carlos Queiroz have agreed to permanently terminate the contract upon poor performance
This comes after a heavy backlash after going 2-0 ahead in their recent AFCON qualification encounter against The Gambians but failed to win the game after conceding four times to finish the game 4-2 against Ghana.
This sparked lots of agitations that led some fans wishing they could get hold of the GFA Presented to perhaps teach him a lesson at the Accra Sports Stadium. This will come as a satisfying news to the Black Stars supporters.
This is how coach Carlos Queiroz's said goodbye to Ghana;
"This was not an easy decision, but both parties agreed that, under the present circumstances, ending our professional relationship was the most appropriate course of action, with the interests of Ghana, the Black Stars and Ghanaian football above everything else.
"It has been an honour to serve Ghana and the Black Stars. I sincerely thank the Ghana Football Association and particularly its President for their trust and for the opportunity to lead such a proud football nation.
I came to Ghana determined to help build a stronger future for the Black Stars and support the development of the country’s talent. Despite our commitment and efforts, the necessary conditions were not fully established, and our recent performance added to the decision to bring this journey to an end.
"I leave with respect, gratitude and pride."
Coach Carlos Queiroz took charge of the Back Stars in April 2026 during preparations towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup when Otto Addo was also sacked amid below standard performance.
Carlos Queiroz played played 7 games for Ghana, won 1 drew 2 and lost 4 times. His team managed to score 4 goals and conceded 10 goals.
