Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid Still in talks

Real Madrid submitted a new contract offer to Vinícius Jr. after Brazil's World Cup exit, but it still falls short of the player's demands. 🇧🇷

Negotiations have been ongoing for two years, with both sides yet to come close to an agreement.

Vinícius currently earns around €18.5M per year, while Florentino Pérez is prepared to offer a maximum salary of €20M. However, salary is not the main issue.

The biggest sticking point is the signing bonus. Real Madrid believe a renewal bonus for an existing player should be lower than the one offered to a free agent, as was the case with Kylian Mbappé.

Vinícius and his representatives argue that the bonus they're requesting is far below what Madrid would have to pay to sign a replacement of similar stature.

Both sides remain firm in their positions, and negotiations are expected to continue throughout the transfer window.

Vinícius is under no pressure, as he would be free to negotiate with any club in January and is also due to receive a significant portion of the signing bonus from his current deal that same month.
