After a failed contract which only elapsed in a single month, Kweku Shai didn't give up on his music dream. Later when Mentor 14 called he quickly responded and joined the train. God being so good he has won the ultimate reward which only doesn't put only him on the map but also the Ga-dangbe tradition as a whole.
Kwaku Shai said for the fans this win serves them the bragging right but for him is "aluta contuinua", this is a call for responsibility. This is the time to put in the work for the judges, producers and the fans to see what he has within to show the world. When quizzed by the host, about when he heard during the final moment that the person the light falls on wins, what was his mood like. He narrated that he started praying silently and when he was mentioned he continued with Yaw Sarpong's Awurade Na Ay3 song.
Speaking on TV3's The Afternoon Show Kweku Shai also revealed that his next move is to do more with his newly released single titled Sole which laterally means Pray. He stated that the song was written and sung in his native Ga-dangbe dialect which people don't understand so obviously he would release a visualising that will translate the lyrics to English.
However the artist further stated that the traditional wears brings him back to factory settings, fans should expect him in such appearances because he's proud of his roots.
