Kumerican Hip Hop artists O' Kenneth and Jay Bahd was on the TV 3 Showbiz 360 with Giovanni Caleb yesterday to basically speak about the new project of Jah Bahd which is already accepted by music lovers. Anadwo is the title of the song and is enjoying airplay as usual.
When teased by Giovanni Caleb on their intentions to feature any domestic artists, the duo struggled to make any pronouncement but rather stressed that they have enormous plans to keep featuring their Asakaa boys. Otherwise they have intentions of featuring Headie One the UK based rapper and Kwaku Smoke from Ghana.
Speaking on the speculations that their Asakaa drill is not reigning like it use to, they explained that last year they went on overseas for some performances that made them not make any release's of their craft.
According to them there are rumors that they use Voodoo because of the style to put up in the Y3 Y3 Dom music video but that's not the case. Jay Bahd explained that his demon nick name also makes people to feel the same way but that are hearsay. Because he likes to project the Akomfo Anokye legacy because of his style of music. They also stressed that they're grateful with the level of attention and streams they enjoy when they release a song because they're music is paying off.
They said initially their songs were accepted abroad because of it's contents, before the local media started following their crafts. They stressed that it was Virgil Abloh, the late American fashion designer and entrepreneur who started engaging them and later started blogging activities about them online. He also started sending them money and some clothes at some point. So hearing of his demise was a big blow to them. Because he really influence their music.
Speaking of productions they said they do their beats in Ghana but most of them are from abroad. They also indicated that this year is full of bangers, so music lovers should expect more from them. When quizzed by Giovanni that people lament of the change in habits, they reply by saying they have just been busy with the music business but is not like they ignoring anybody. They also advised young musicians coming up to never give up in what ever they're doing because of what people say.
The current jam is by Jay Bahd titled Anadwo and is doing well on digital platforms. They encourage for more streaming.
