The President of the Republic of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the First Lady, Her Excellency Rebecca Akufo-Addo have taken the opportunity today to register for their identification card for the upcoming polls in December.
The executive couple was seen today at their polling station at the Rock of Ages Registration Centre in his hometown at Kyebi in the Eastern Region.
The Civic responsibility of Ghanaians of registratring to vote come December will end on Thursday the 6th of August 2020.
A total of 15,043,773 persons have cumulatively registered so far as of day 31 of the exercise according to the Electoral Commission.
The ongoing compilation of the new voter’s roll commenced on 30th June, 2020 in phases despite stiff opposition from groupings such as the Inter – Party Resistance Against The Compilation Of A New Voter’s Register (IPRAN).
