Ghanaian rapper and CEO of Sarkcess Music Sarkodie has been the talk of town since he was mentioned as the winner of a prestigious newly invented award by Black Entertainment Television BET yesterday as the Best International Flow 2019 at the BET Hip Hop awards held in Atlanta.
The fastest rapper in Africa now the world was nominated in the same category with top notch musicians making waves across board but still managed to come ahead of them.
The category had Nasty C from South Africa, Tory Lanez from Canada, Falz from Nigeria, Kalash from France, Ghetts from UK and Lil Simz from UK as well.
However in his acceptance speech Sarkodie thanked God, his fans and acknowledged Akon for good job he has done to pave way for African music, furthermore he encouraged the world to visit Africa since is the year of return and they should look no further than Ghana.
This sparked into lots of debate and for some Sarkodie has become the best thing that has happend to Ghana music industry, setting examples and leaving a mark for the world to see.
Not long ago popular radio and television personality Abeiku Aggrey Santana mentioned Sarkodie to be the benchmark for Ghana music, even though most of music enthusiast across the world will testify to this because of his hard work but this comes as a big surprise since that category was a newly invented by BET.
On the other hand Ghana Music Awards UK 2019 was also staged at The Discovery Center in London. The event attracted loads of entertainment personalities from Ghana and across the world where Sarkodie had seven nomintions but managed to bagged just one in London with his "Can't Let You Go" music video merging Best Video of the year.
